The Wolf and the Lion

Once upon a time, a ferocious wolf came upon a powerful lion in a dark forest full of tall trees and lush foliage. Being a sneaky and cunning animal, the wolf made the decision to try to outsmart the lion and make him his servant.
When the wolf saw the lion, he remarked, "I am in awe of your might and majesty, powerful lion. All the other animals fear you because you are the king of the jungle. But I've come to offer you my services since I'm a humble and smart wolf. I can be your guide and your supporter, and with your help, we can rule the forest justly and wisely."

Being a proud and honorable animal, the lion was unimpressed by the wolf's flattery. He was aware that the wolf was only attempting to trick him and win his trust and that he had no desire to act as his servant or guide.
The lion responded, "I appreciate the offer, Wolf, but I don't need or want your assistance. I do not need anyone's help or advice because I am a strong and capable leader. Now, if you'll pardon me, I have pressing affairs to attend to."
When the wolf realized his scheme had failed, he slunk away with his tail between his knees, feeling ashamed and sad.
No matter how badly we might desire something from someone, it's never a good idea to try to trick or manipulate them. Instead of trying to be someone we're not, it's preferable to be open and honest and to win the respect and trust of others via our deeds and our character. Therefore, we should always be truthful and direct and never try to trick or manipulate other people.
