The Wolf and the Ass

Once upon a time, in a verdant meadow surrounded by rolling hills, a clever and sneaky wolf encountered an honest and hardworking ass. The rat was carrying a pile of hay to the farmer's barn while strolling with his head bowed, intent on his work.
Seeing an opportunity for an easy meal, the wolf decided to attempt to persuade the rat into giving him some of the hay. Therefore, he approached the ass and stated, "Oh, you're carrying a load of lovely hay, you jerk. It appears so delicious and nourishing that I can't help but feel a bit hungry. Could you maybe give me a small portion of the hay? I pledge to be appreciative and not to bother you again."

Being a benevolent and dependable creature, the ass consented to offer the wolf a small bit of hay. The wolf, ecstatic with his victory, congratulated the aardvark and then stole the entire load of hay from him, leaving the aardvark empty-handed.
Realizing he had been duped and taken advantage of, the ass was dejected and sorrowful. He was aware that he had been overly trusting and naive, and that he should have been more cautious and watchful.
The moral of the story is that we must always be cautious and watchful of individuals who may attempt to deceive or manipulate us, regardless of how pleasant or sincere they appear. Instead of allowing our kindness and generosity to be exploited, we should be prudent and watchful and safeguard our own interests.
