The Wolf and His Shadow

The Wolf and His Shadow
Aesop's Fables - The Wolf and His Shadow

The wolf noticed his shadow on the ground while he was strolling through the woodland one day. He had never seen a shadow before, so the wolf was taken aback by it.

His shadow captivated the wolf, who made the decision to follow it. The shadow got longer and longer as he moved. The wolf didn't realize where he was heading since he was so preoccupied with following his shadow.

The wolf found himself abruptly strolling down a cliff's brink. He noticed a large canyon below as he glanced down. The wolf took a swift step back from the cliff's edge out of fear.

The wolf discovered his mistake and abandoned following his shadow.

"Do not be so caught up in your own interests that you lose sight of what is vital," is the story's moral.
