The Talking Tree and the Lone Wolf

Way back when, in a thick and mysterious forest, there resided a talking tree with incredible powers. The Talking Tree was a kindly old soul who took great pleasure in hearing the forest's many inhabitants go about their daily lives.
Eventually, a solitary wolf showed up in the woods. Because of his extended period of isolation, he was a wild and lonesome creature. He felt lonely and isolated because he did not have someone to talk to.
Seeing the wolf, the Talking Tree made a call to him. He questioned the wolf about his seeming isolation and his melancholy demeanor. The wolf expressed his desire for companionship to the Talking Tree.
To help the wolf out, the Talking Tree shared some words of wisdom. The best way to create friends, he remarked, is to be kind and generous. Those around you are more likely to treat you well if you treat them kindly first.
In gratitude, the wolf followed the Talking Tree's guidance. When he started treating the forest's other creatures with respect, he quickly made some friends.
After the wolf had finished his thanksgiving meal, he went back to the Talking Tree. The tree beamed and replied, "I'm happy to be of service. I'm glad you've found a friend since friendship is priceless.
The wolf remained in the woods, where he quickly found pals. The advice he received from the Talking Tree stayed with him, and he treated people with kindness.
The lesson to be learned from this anecdote is that good deeds always attract more good. Others are more likely to treat you well if you treat them kindly first.
