The Goatherd and the Wild Goats

The Goatherd and the Wild Goats
Aesop's Fables - The Goatherd and the Wild Goats

Once upon a time, a goatherd who looked after a herd of goats resided in a lovely meadow with blooming flowers and thick grass. The goatherd observed a herd of wild goats galloping across the meadow one day as he was out caring to the goats.

The wild goats captivated the goatherd, who made the decision to follow them. He realized that the wild goats were moving toward a sheer cliff as he followed them. The wild goats were warned by the goatherd, but they ignored him.

The goatherd grabbed one of the wild goats and brought it back to safety just as they were about to reach the cliff's edge. Realizing their error, the wild goats thanked the goatherd and pledged to proceed with caution in the future.

The lesson of the tale is that we should pay attention to those around us, especially when they are attempting to assist us. Since our actions may have negative effects, we should exercise caution and think things out before acting. We should always be open to listening to others who are attempting to assist us since it is better to be safe than sorry.
