The Fox and the Crow

Once upon a time, a crow who had discovered a mouthwatering slice of cheese lived in a lush and verdant woodland. The crow flew up to a tree branch and perched on it while clutching the cheese in her beak since she was really pleased of her gift.
A crafty and sneaky fox was enviously watching the crow from below the tree. He devised a scheme to persuade the crow into giving up the cheese because he wanted it for himself.

The fox yelled to the crow, "Hey! "Greetings, Miss Crow. I have never seen a bird as gorgeous as you. Your voice is like music to my ears, and your feathers are lustrous and black. Could you sing a song for me, please?"
The cheese dropped to the ground when the crow, who was touched by the fox's compliments, opened her beak to sing. The crow was left empty-beaked and unhappy when the fox quickly took the cheese and fled.
The lesson of the tale is to resist being persuaded by flattery and to be wary of those who might try to trick us.
